Affluenza Exhibition PV this Thursday 19th

I will be exhibiting a new print installation piece alongside 30 international artists (emerging and established) at The Affluenza Exhibition, in an amazing industrial warehouse space in Clerkenwell.

The private view is this Thursday 19th March, 6.30-10.00pm.

The Affluenza Exhibition is a multi-disciplinary visual arts exhibition and series of talks and events taking place in Clerkenwell, London from the 19th – 28th March 2009.

The collective show is themed around post-modern society and its consumer anxieties. The Term affluenza refers to ‘the disease of affluence’ as detailed in Oliver James’ book on the subject. He describes it as a painful, contagious, socially transmitted condition of overload, debt, anxiety and waste resulting from the dogged pursuit of more. By placing a high value on money, possessions, physical and social appearances, and fame, we fail to distinguish between what we need and what we want.

The address is: 187-211 St John street, Clerkenwell, nearest tube Farringdon.
Check out the Affluenza website for more info.

Hope to see you there!
